Privacy Policy for The Lines
Effective date: 6 August 2026
Last updated: 6 August 2026
About this policy
This privacy policy explains how the iOS app The Lines handles information.
The Lines is published by Mythica Press. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Mythica Press and the publisher of The Lines.
Information collected by the app
The Lines does not collect personal information from its users.
The app:
does not require an account or registration;
does not collect names, email addresses or contact details;
does not contain advertising;
does not use analytics or tracking software;
does not track users across other apps or websites;
does not collect location information;
does not access the camera, microphone, contacts, photos or health information;
does not transmit app usage or journey activity to Mythica Press.
The principal text, images and audio recordings are included within the app and can be accessed without creating an online account.
Information stored on your device
The Lines may store limited information locally on your device, such as:
your position in the journey;
app preferences;
previously selected locations or progress.
This information remains on your device. It is not transmitted to Mythica Press or shared with another organisation.
You can remove locally stored app information by deleting The Lines from your device.
Information processed only on a user’s device and not transmitted elsewhere is not treated by Apple as data collected by the developer. (Apple Developer)
Audio narration
The spoken Walk the Line with Linus recordings were created before publication using ElevenLabs voice-generation technology.
The finished audio files are included within the app. The app does not connect to ElevenLabs while you listen, and no personal information or listening activity is sent to ElevenLabs.
App Store purchases
The Lines is purchased and downloaded through Apple’s App Store.
Apple processes App Store accounts, payments, purchase records and downloads under Apple’s own privacy policies. Mythica Press does not receive or store your payment-card information. Apple confirms that payment information entered outside an app and unavailable to the developer is not considered data collected by that developer. (Apple Developer)
We may receive general sales and financial reports from Apple for accounting and business purposes. These reports do not give us access to your payment-card details.
External website links
The Lines contains links to selected pages on the Mythica Press website and may open them using Apple’s in-app Safari view.
Opening a link is optional. Once you visit a website, information processed through that website—such as standard web-server information or cookies—is governed by the privacy and cookie information provided on that website.
The app does not record which external links you open.
Contacting us
The app itself does not collect contact information. However, you may voluntarily contact Mythica Press by email or through the Mythica Press website.
When you contact us, we may receive:
your name;
your email address;
the contents of your message;
any other information you choose to provide.
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, provide support, deal with a problem, or maintain an appropriate record of our correspondence.
Our lawful basis for doing so is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and supporting users. Where your enquiry relates to a purchase or another agreement, processing may also be necessary in connection with that agreement.
We do not use support enquiries for unrelated advertising or sell personal information to anyone.
Sharing information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
Information sent directly to us may be processed by service providers that support our website or email service. Such providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to supply those services.
We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights.
Retention
Because The Lines does not transmit personal information to us, we do not retain personal information about your use of the app.
When you contact us directly, we retain your correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
answer your enquiry;
provide support;
maintain appropriate administrative records; or
meet a legal or accounting obligation.
Information that is no longer required will be deleted or securely disposed of.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights concerning personal information that we hold about you. These may include the right to:
request a copy of your personal information;
ask us to correct inaccurate information;
ask us to delete information;
restrict or object to certain uses of information;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
complain about how personal information has been handled.
Because the app does not collect or transmit personal information, these rights will normally apply only when you have contacted us directly.
To make a request, contact:
Email: enquiries@mythicapress.com
You may also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, the independent authority responsible for data-protection matters.
Children’s privacy
The Lines does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.
The app does not contain accounts, public communication features, behavioural advertising or user-generated content.
Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect personal information voluntarily sent to us. However, no internet or email transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app changes, if new features are introduced, or if legal and regulatory requirements change.
The latest version will remain available on the Mythica Press website, with the effective date shown at the top of the page.

Apple requires a publicly accessible Privacy Policy URL for every iOS app. (Apple Developer)
Apple’s current review guidelines also say the policy should be accessible within the app itself. Ideally, add a small Privacy Policy link to the About or Further Information screen. (Apple Developer)
